Why OSCQR? - Event
If you are a certified online instructor, this event is for you!
Rob shared his experiences creating OSCQR and talk about why it is important and how it impacts the continuous improvement of online courses for an institution.
Robert Piorkowski is the Assistant Director of Online Teaching for SUNY Online. He brings to the position a meaningful understanding of campus culture, online faculty development, instructional design, and online teaching. He is the principal designer of Open SUNY’s Instructional Designer Certificate Program adopted by OLC in 2016, for which he drew input from SUNY’s instructional designer community. Currently, he focuses on the implementation of online teaching supports, services, and resources for remote and online faculty & campus IDs, and the continuous improvement in online course quality via OSCQR. Rob was an adjunct instructor for Cayuga Community College, where he taught French online for 14 years.
OSCQR provides a process and an interactive rubric to systematically review and refresh the instructional design and accessibility of online and blended courses, as well as complete online degree programs. OSCQR guides instructors through a continuous process for online courses.
