content directly in Blackboard. Instructors can easily record their screen, webcam,
and voice from any computer and instantly upload recordings through MEDIAL for students
to access anytime, anywhere. cvb
When uploading or recording a video in MEDIAL, captions are generated automatically.
There is no need to manually add captions, as the system creates them during the upload
or recording process.
MEDIAL’s web interface and embedded media player are fully accessible and support
keyboard navigation using the Tab key to move through available functions. The platform
is also compatible with popular screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA, ensuring an
inclusive and accessible experience for all users.

features to help you create inclusive and engaging course content.
MEDIAL is committed to protecting your personal information and operates in compliance
with UK GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018, EU GDPR, and other applicable data
protection laws.
MEDIAL does not sell or rent users’ personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-party advertising is not permitted on the MEDIAL platform. Personal information
is only shared in limited circumstances as outlined in the official Privacy Policy.
For users accessing MEDIAL through their institution, the institution acts as the
data controller of user information. MEDIAL acts as a data processor on behalf of
the institution and does not use submitted personal information for marketing or commercial
purposes.
As of January 2025, theMedial integration in Blackboard has been officially retired.This action wasmandated by Blackboardas part of their system-wide updates.
Existing Medial videos are no longer functional and redirect users back to the course
dashboard when clicked. To ensure your video content remains accessible, you will
need to manually re-embed videos into your Blackboard courses using embed codes from
the Medial platform.
Important Note:Before copying courses for the upcoming term, re-embed videos in your source course
to avoid fixing them in multiple sections.
