Marine Trades & Manufacturing Career Training Program
Rhode Island is known around the world as a state with a high concentration of boating, composites, and manufacturing companies. This four-week, hands-on training prepares participants in a wide range of areas including carpentry, welding, pipefitting, sheet metal, painting, electrical, marine systems, blueprint reading, safety and other areas, as well as on-the-job shadowing with local employers. This program is geared to individuals looking to gain the skills needed for entry-level positions in the marine, composites and manufacturing industries.
Tuition is free and funded through the Town of Westerly Community Development Block Grant.
This program is expected to launch on July 11, 2022.
