Maritime Paint

In collaboration with the Westerly Education Center and Electric Boat, CCRI enrolls students in maritime paint courses that prepares students to work at Electric Boat. This course prepares participants with the painting skills and knowledge for industry employment requiring the application of basic maritime paint knowledge in manufacturing environments dedicated to the production of vessels for the U.S. Navy. The course covers XXXXXXXXX Participants also learn and apply the companion employability skills - critical thinking, teamwork, communication, leadership, etc. - with an emphasis on completing work that is procedurally compliant, on time, and within budget.

In order to participate in this program you must apply to Electric Boat and be hired as a painter. This is a post employment training program for Electric Boats Quonset Point facility and is funded through Real Jobs Rhode Island, please apply here.

In order to participate in our Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) program you may apply here. This program is a pre-employment program and funded through EWIB.
