Welcome to the Department of Performing Arts Music Program at the Community College of Rhode Island. We are glad that you are taking a moment to visit us. If you are seeking to major in music, CCRI offers quality instruction and transferable credits toward the first two years of a music, music education, or jazz studies major. The Community College of Rhode Island is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music.

We endeavor to provide engaging, high quality musical and educational experiences to our students and the surrounding community. We accomplish this through a wide range of activities including performing, teaching and scholarship, and service to the community. Our resources include experienced and accomplished faculty, dedicated library materials and an atmosphere which seeks to collaborate with other disciplines.

Furthermore, our mission is enhanced by the contributions of many visiting artists and programs who have established themselves throughout New England and the nation.

The Department provides CCRI and the surrounding community with the only comprehensive resource of its type for excellent artistic and academic achievement.
