We are passionate about serving the CCRI community.

At CCRI, Online Learning and Technology support the CCRI academic community through instructional design and technologies for online and blended courses. We have various expertise in many areas in curriculum design, development and technology.

Our Team

Mish McIntyre

Mish McIntyre

Pronouns: she/her

Mish McIntyre, Instructional Designer, develops professional faculty development opportunities for CCRI faculty and provides coaching around course design, implementing active learning, and effective teaching practices.

Mish is passionate about learning experience design and helping faculty. Mish has a MFA in 3D from MassArt, and a M.Ed in Education Foundation from Suffolk University.  Her expertise includes online and hybrid effective practices, learning space design, learning systems architecture, game-based design as well as extensive experience with educational technology including Blackboard, VoiceThread,  adaptive learning systems, OER and accessibility.

Mish has more than 16 yrs. of experience working in higher education, and more than 10 yrs. as an instructional designer. She has been teaching and training adult learners for 30 yrs. She has presented her work at various conferences including NERCOMP and Serious Play Conference.  Mish is also a sometimes game judge for Serious Games Association.

Iryna Ashby

Iryna Ashby

Pronouns: she/her

Iryna is an Online Learning Support Technician.  Iryna supports the OLT website, creates new resources for EPTO and has extensive experience working with faculty to build engaging online courses. Iryna will also be developing OSCQR content and instructional design infographics.

Iryna holds a doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction from Purdue University focusing on learning design and technology. She has extensive experience with course development for online and face-to-face learners, data visualization, accessibility, and information architecture to support diverse learners in higher education and industry. Her research interests include competency-based education, interdisciplinary education and collaboration within and across interdisciplinary teams, lifelong learning, and improvement of online learning experiences and environments. 

Micah Weedman

Micah WeedmanPronouns: he/him

Micah is an Online Learning Support Technician. Micah will be a co-instructor for the EPTO course. He is also developing integrated instructional systems to track training data for online. Micah will also be developing OSCQR content.

Micah holds the Ph.D in leadership studies, with a focus on leadership development in higher education, and has worked in higher education and learning design for several universities and community colleges as well as in health care and government contexts.

Kristina Wendricks

Kristina WendricksPronouns: she/her

Kristina is an Online Learning Support Technician. She has recently launched a new course for instructors called Transparency in Course Design for Student Success.  Kristina will be also developing OSCQR content.

Kristina Wendricks is an instructional designer at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Kristina holds a Master of Arts in Adult and Continuing Education and is currently working on her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Kristina's expertise is within instructional design, curriculum development and writing, and assessment. Her current work focuses on TILT (Transparency in Learning and Teaching), communities of practice, faculty professional development, UDL (Universal Design for Learning), and accessibility in course design. 

Gene Grande

Pronouns: he/him

Gene has been with CCRI since 1987 working in the Audio Visual Department, which became the Department of Information Technology in 1998. He earned a BA in Communications/Theater, Secondary Ed. from Rhode Island College in 1978 and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, Secondary Ed. from Rhode Island College in 1980. Gene also earned a Professional Development Certificate in Distance Learning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education in 2001. He currently works helping faculty with Blackboard, video production, and specialized software.
