The Community College of Rhode Island will open our new Liston Campus CNC Manufacturing Laboratory at a ribbon-cutting and open house on Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Room 1165. The ribbon-cutting will start at 10 a.m., and from 10:30 a.m. to noon attendees can tour the new laboratory classrooms.
Today modern manufacturing depends upon the use of computers, robots, Computer Numeric Control (CNC) and 3D-printing and digital technology. At the heart of advanced manufacturing is CNC machining and the computer applications supporting the design and manufacturing process.
CCRI offers five certificates and two Advanced Manufacturing Technology associate in Science degree tracks. Our open house on Dec. 14 is your opportunity to meet our faculty, tour the new lab and learn about potential degree and career paths.
