Fino named CCRI’s Executive Director of Workforce Partnerships

Cody Fino of Cranston, RI, has been named the Community College of Rhode Island’s Executive Director of Workforce Partnerships.

Since 2019, Fino has served as the college’s Director of Industry Partnerships, where he has overseen the operations of more than 25 Workforce programs, and has led the Division of Workforce Partnership’s growth within the areas of Healthcare, Defense, Manufacturing, and Maritime. Prior to his role as Director, Fino served as Coordinator of CCRI’s operations at the Westerly Education Center. 

In three years as Director, Fino’s work led to the commitment of more than $8 million in Workforce training and grants, including $3.38M in Fiscal Year 2022 and $1.9M in training in the first quarter of FY 23. At the Westerly Education Center, Fino developed and strengthened the partnership between CCRI and one of the college’s largest partners, Electric Boat. He also secured and continues to oversee the college’s Center of Excellence (CoE) for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education designation. 

Fino is a proud CCRI alumnus, graduating in 2013, after which he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership Development and Master of Education in Higher Education Counseling from Providence College.
