How It All Began
The CCRI Film Festival - The Knighties - was held for the first time December 20, 2012. Brent Henderson, a filmmaking student and President of the New Media Group, worked tirelessly to launch the first ever film festival held for CCRI students.
Brent, along with Professor Sandra Luzzi Sneesby and Norm Grant faculty advisors to
the festival, advertised, secured judges, solicited student film entries, organized
the event, and award ceremony. Brent designed the festival logo and named the festival
"The Knighties" in honor of the college mascot. A talented filmmaker and skilled artist,
Brent would go on to receive a Best Experimental award for film Edward Meets Charles.
