Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR
BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR Course teaches CPR skills based on the Guidelines released in 2020 for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). This CPR course teaches the skills for Adult/Child/Infant CPR including giving high quality compressions, using the bag mask device, using an automated external defibrillator (AED) device, and how to help a victim who is choking. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.
By completing this course, you receive AHA certification completion card that is good for 2 years which meets the criteria for healthcare jobs that require BLS certification.
Applicants must demonstrate an ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
BLS Provider Manual (ISBN: 978-1-61669-768-6) is required. This manual is designed for a single user, with text that is ideal for use as a reference tool before and after the BLS Course. The BLS Provider Manual contains all the information needed to successfully complete the BLS Course. Cost $19.
