CCRI hires Kell as assistant professor of English

Charles Kell of East Greenwich recently was named assistant professor of English at the Community College of Rhode Island.
Kell has spent his professional career in higher education, most recently serving as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Rhode Island after several years as an adjunct instructor in English at Three Rivers Community College in Connecticut.
Kell has received multiple awards and honors for his writing, including for manuscripts “Cage of Lit Glass” and “The Haruspicators.” In addition, he has published several works of poetry and fictional stories.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English at Kent State University and University of Toledo, respectively, and is completing his doctorate in English literature and creative writing at the University of Rhode Island.
