CCRI names DePalma assistant professor of math

Sharon DePalma of North Providence recently was named assistant professor of mathematics at the Community College of Rhode Island.
DePalma was previously employed as a secondary math teacher in Smithfield and has served as an adjunct instructor of mathematics at CCRI since April 2018.
DePalma earned a Master of Arts in teaching mathematics from Providence College and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.
She is active in her community, where she has served as a catechism teacher at Saint Anthony Church. She also served as an assistant coach for the North Providence recreational fast-pitch girls softball association from 2010 to 2016, and assistant coach and head coach for the North Providence recreational youth basketball association from 2012 to 2016.
