CCRI hires Ghonaim as assistant professor of biology

Mohamed Ghonaim of Manchester, Connecticut, recently was named assistant professor of biology at the Community College of Rhode Island, where he teaches human anatomy and physiology.

He has taught biology, human anatomy and physiology, and zoology at colleges and universities across the globe, including the University of Hartford, Manchester Community College, University of Central Florida and Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, and the University of Al-Azhar in Egypt. 

Ghonaim has published several scientific papers on far-sweeping subjects from describing new species of insects to molecular functional dysregulation of genes in Crohn’s disease.

He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in biology at Behna University in Egypt and his doctorate in a joint program between the University of Florida/Azhar University.
