CCRI's Instructional Support group facilitates the use of technology in instruction across the curriculum. Instructional Support staff provide instructional technology programs, workshops, consultations, and resources to assist faculty with the integration of technology in their teaching and learning practices. Instructional Support is located in the Center for Instructional Technology, KN4100.

Gene Grande, Senior Information Technologist (PT)

Gene has been with CCRI since 1987 working in the Audio Visual Department, which became
the Department of Information Technology in 1998. He earned a BA in Communications/Theater, Secondary Ed. from Rhode Island College in 1978 and a
MEd. in Instructional Technology, Secondary Ed. from Rhode Island College in 1980.
Gene also earned a Professional Development Certificate in Distance Learning from
the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education in 2001. Gene retired in 2022
after 35 years of service and currently works part time in Online Learning & Technology
helping faculty with CCRI's Learning Management System, video production, and specialized
software.
