LIBA-1500-600: An Introduction to Language & Cultures to Thrive as Global Leaders (Online) 3 credits
The objective of this elective transferable online course is designed to develop a global perspective and curiosity about other cultures and norms to develop a global edge. It offers a framework for students who have studied a language, are currently studying language or plan to enroll in a language course. Students will develop the necessary tools to understand and appreciate the interaction of language and culture. - Elementary French I (CRN # 12058)

____________________________________________________Profile in Excellence: Kelly A. Grace: World Languages & Cultures Ambassador 2024 - 2025
Ms. Kelly A. Grace, a Phi Theta Kappa Honors student, was selected as the first World
Languages & Cultures Student Ambassador on September 26, 2024. In 2024, she was selected
as the New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar. Her selection was based on the score
she earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,200 applications
were received. Ms. Grace was the top-scoring student from Rhode Island.
Ms. Grace's Honors Project, DIFFERENTLY-ABLED and Proud: My Journey Discovering that Dreams DO Come True completed while enrolled in the "The Learner's Journey," has inspired many at the College to indeed realize that "dreams do come true." She is currently serving in several leadership positions at the College, including as Regional VP of Scholarship, Chapter Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa, President of the Italian Group, as well as a peer tutor in Italian, French, History, Geology, Oceanography.
