Summer Readiness Program
WHO:
Incoming CTE high school juniors and seniors
WHAT:
A FREE summer readiness program focused on reading, writing, and math developed by CCRI English and Math professors.
WHERE:
Classes will be in person and held at the Providence Liston Campus
WHEN: Last date to register is June 14
- MATH: two-week session - July 10-13, July 17-20; 9:00-11:30am
- READING/WRITING: two-week session - July 24-27, July 31- August 3; 9:00-11:30am
Students may register for one or both courses.
WHY:
Many students are ineligible to take college-level courses because they do not meet the required ACCUPLACER scores in reading, writing, and math. This program will provide students with focused instruction to assist with college-level readiness in taking the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam.
