The Academic Master Plan calls for a Faculty Peer Mentor Program, and CTE is proud
to announce the program is now open for all interested Full-Time Faculty! Mentoring
relationships will be an opportunity for CCRI faculty to learn from and support each
other in their teaching and professional lives.
Mentoring relationships are intended to be a safe and trusted relationship for both
the mentor and the mentee. To the degree possible, confidentiality between mentor
and mentee will be expected. At the same time, Mentors will need to report broad information
about their work to CTE and their Academic Deans.
Mentor/Mentee pairs will meet at least 6 times throughout the year, and will also
visit each others' classes. CTE will provide resources for potential meeting topics
and classroom visit processes.
- Can be any full-time faculty member who requests a mentor.
- Will benefit from a supportive relationship with an experienced colleague.
