Clean Water Workforce

Offered in partnership with Real Jobs Rhode Island, and the RI Department of Labor and Training, CCRI is offering an opportunity to prepare for a career in Rhode Island’s clean water sector.

Offered in partnership with Real Jobs Rhode Island, and the RI Department of Labor and Training, CCRI is offering an opportunity to prepare for a career in Rhode Island’s clean water sector through this 14-week, hands-on training program. Participants will gain foundational knowledge and practical experience in drinking water and wastewater operations, covering systems, tools, safety protocols, basic math and science, OSHA-10, and RIDEM and RIDOH Operator 1 certification preparation. This program includes classroom instruction, lab work, site visits, and a 50-hour job shadowing placement with a local employer.

No prior experience is required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

When: TBD, Monday - Thursday, 3:30-8:00 pm

Where: CCRI, Knight Campus (Warwick)

Cost: FREE for qualified participants!
