Introduction to Utilities

This hands-on, introductory course will equip participants with foundational skills and industry knowledge to help them explore career pathways in the utilities sector.

In partnership with Rhode Island Energy (RIE), CCRI is offering a 7-hour introductory training designed to prepare participants for entry-level utility careers with RIE.

This hands-on, introductory course will equip 25 participants with foundational skills and industry knowledge to help them explore career pathways in the utilities sector. The course will include both classroom and practical instruction, providing a comprehensive overview of electric generation, gas utilities, smart grid systems, and more. By the end of the program, participants will be well-positioned to pursue further training and employment opportunities with Rhode Island Energy.

No prior experience is necessary. A high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, authorization to work in the U.S., and ability to pass a drug test are required.

Where: Woonsocket Education Center (WOC), 115 Main Street, Woonsocket, RI
