Building & Sending HTML Email - Part IV

Steps

Part IV - Mailing with OU Campaign Manager | Back to Part III

  1. Go back to Campaign Manager, select "Edit the HTML", and click the "Next button. screenshot
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the HTML window and find the OmniUpdate date stamp code. NOTE: every time you publish, OU inserts this code so, if you've done more than one publish without removing this code, you may see more than one date stamp code -you need to delete it all, so select however many there are, as indicated below and delete it. Make sure the "Move my CSS..." option is checked, then hit the "Save changes" button.screenshot.
  3. Next, select the "Continue, I'm happy with the preview" button and click the "Next" button.screenshot
  4. In the Plain text email" window, click the "Import it from your HTML" link. then click the "I'm done..." button.
  5. On the next screen, click the "Define recipients" button.screenshot
  6. Scroll down and click on the "Employees-Master list" (or whatever you named it when yoy created it.) Select all segments of the list you want to send to. This example shows how you can exclude a segment within your list.

  7. Scroll down and click the "Next" button.screenshot
  8. The next screen gives you a summary of the recipients you have included or excluded from the master list. If not correct, you can edit by selecting the "Edit" button. You can either send another test or schedule the delivery.screenshot
  9. Choose when you want to send the email. Also, type the email where you would like a confirmation email to be sent. Before selecting "Schedule this campaign", please note that you cannot modify or cancel the campaign once it starts sending. You may also click "Go back" if you want to check what you've done thus far.

  10. After the campaign is sent, you can see immediate, real-time results by selecting the campaign on the Campaign Manager home screen.
