Justin C. Carroll

Bio

Technical Director Justin Carroll, B.A., is a technical theatre staff member at CCRI. He runs the scene shop, supervising the student staff in construction and installation of all technical theatrical elements of the CCRI Players annual production schedule. Justin has worked in a variety of industries since college, including retail, industrial food production, and machine fabrication, each of which has served to enhance his theatre acumen. He has worked professionally as a stage manager, production manager, scenic carpenter, stage machine operator, sound technician, lighting technician, and lighting designer, and he is thrilled to offer this wide variety of knowledge to CCRI's theatre students. Since 2008, Justin has been an active participant in the Providence theatre scene. He served as a stage carpenter at Trinity Repertory Theatre Company, and is currently serving as technical staff at the 95 Empire black box theatre at As220. He does design and technical work for local theatre groups in Providence and Boston, and is on the D-List of the I.A.T.S.E Local 23 Theatre Stagehand Union.

Education

A native of Washington State, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Technology and Design.
