Late Assignment Policy for Lecture Classes

Oftentimes, a student will stay after class or visit me during an office hour to find out the correct way to solve an expecially troubling problem that appeared on a test, quiz, or graded homework.  When this happens, I usually give that student  a written solution to the problem.  After that point in time, I must assume that the question is “out” and fearing that the solution may now be shared with others, I can no longer accept that assignment from any other student.

To avoid getting a zero on an assignment because you fail to submit it in a timely fashion, a good rule to follow is to hand all assignments in by the due date indicateed on your syllabus.  If you cannot be in class on a due date, you can e-mail a scanned in copy of your completed assignment to me at [email protected]
