Tuition Appeals are for students who are requesting a refund or balance waiver of their tuition charges due to extenuating circumstances preventing attendance that occurred during a given term. Non-refundable registration fees cannot be appealed. [Read more about the Tuition Appeals Committee]
Second Chance is a program designed to provide students with past due financial obligations, who do not have extenuating circumstances, a second chance to obtain a certificate or degree with the Community College of Rhode Island. [Read more about Second Chance]
The Academic Appeals Committee considers requests for course substitutions from students majoring in General Studies or Liberal Arts. Also, the Committee administers the "Forgiveness Policy" and other program and grade-related requests that are beyond the purview of any academic department.
