A first-time student is anyone who has never attended a higher education institution as a college student and will be attending CCRI for the first time. This includes students who have earned dual enrollment credits while in high school, and plan to attend CCRI after graduating from high school or earning a GED.
New First Time Student
A returning student is someone who previously attended CCRI as a college student but has not attended CCRI in two or more years. This does not include students who attended CCRI as a dual enrolled student while in high school.
Returning Student
A transfer student is someone who attended another college and wants to transfer into CCRI to complete a degree or certificate.
Transfer Student
A non-degree student is someone currently attending another college, wants to take a summer course or take a course for personal enrichment, but is not pursuing a degree or certificate at CCRI.
Non-Degree Student
An early college student is someone still in high school who wants to attend CCRI to get a start on their college education by taking college classes at CCRI in one of our Dual Enrollment Programs.
Early College Student
International students are foreign nationals allowed to study on an F1 non-immigrant temporary visa, to pursue a full time education in the United States.
