Bio
I began my educational journey right here at CCRI, where I started building the foundation for my career before transferring to Rhode Island College. There, I earned both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My professional background includes experience in mental health counseling at the middle school, high school, and college levels, as well as similar work in the addiction and recovery field. Through my time working in school settings, I discovered that what I valued most was helping students navigate their educational paths and achieve their goals. That realization led me to transition from mental health counseling to academic advising, where I could focus on empowering students to succeed both personally and academically.
Before stepping into my current role, I was an advisor with CCRI’s Access Plus program and specialized in working with students with disabilities. That experience formed my connection to and appreciation for CCRI’s community as a whole and led me to seek this position in Advising, where I can reach more of our population. I’m honored to continue supporting CCRI students as they define and pursue their own versions of success.
Outside the office, I’m all about self-care; whether that means trying a new recipe, walking a nearby trail with my loved one, or treating myself to a well-earned slice (or two!) of pizza at the end of a busy week.
