Community College of Rhode Island is working with partners to build employment-focused education  to advance equitable opportunities for currently incarcerated and previously justice-involved Rhode Islanders.

CCRI will build on the 20-year partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC). Rhode Island is a national leader in higher education for justice-involved individuals. To date, CCRI has awarded 110 associates degrees and 14 certificates in business admistration to justice-involved individuals while incarcerated through our partnerships with RIDOC.

In partnership with RIDOC, RI Manufacturer's Association, RI Department of Labor and Training, Governor's Workforce Board, and Polaris MEP,  CCRI has also established a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Manufacturing Program providing in-demand vocational training, and academic credits leading to a certificate and degree.
