Telephones & Voice Mail

The Networking and Telecommunications group supports the campus wide telephone system. These responsibilities include installation and maintenance of telephone switches; installation of telephones and jacks; management of the voice mail and call accounting system; and coordination with 3rd party service providers.

The main college telephone number (401-825-1000) is answered by the switchboard operator. The switchboard operator routes calls to the appropriate offices, responds to general information questions from the public, and provides telephone extensions to internal callers. Dial 0 to reach the operator from an on campus phone.

You may call the Help Desk at ext. 1112 (401-825-1112) to request the installation of a telephone jack, add a telephone extension, add voice mail to an existing extension, or to report any telephone problems.
