CCRI Foundation Scholarships

Did you know that each year there are more than 100 scholarships available to help you pursue your education at CCRI?

Through the generosity of our individual and corporate donors, the CCRI Foundation and the Alumni Association offers scholarships for both full and part-time students. Scholarships can help cover tuition, books, fees and other education related expenses. Last year, the CCRI Foundation and Alumni Association provided more than $600,000 in financial assistance to CCRI students.

The CCRI Foundation scholarship application for graduating students is now OPEN!

Scholarship applications for graduating students are open and will close at midnight, April 15.

Before you apply, here are some tips on how you can improve your chances for success

  1. Applying for more scholarships increases your chances! Please apply for every single scholarship for which you have eligibility. Often you can use the same essays, but if you have named the scholarship in your essay, please update it with the right name for additional scholarships. The system tells you all the scholarships for which you pre-qualify.
  2. Tell the Review Committee why you deserve a scholarship. Focus on things like challenges you have overcome, current obstacles, future goals, accomplishments, and how you are working to pay for your education. Help them understand what you want to do following graduation.
  3. Start by reading all the questions. Because there are usually multiple questions in a scholarship application, it helps to read all questions before you start answering. If you don’t, you may repeat yourself, which doesn’t make for the best application.
  4. Grammar and punctuation count! It might be helpful to write the answers in word, spell and grammar check them, and then copy them into AwardSpring.
  5. Help is available. Consider seeking assistance from CCRI’s Writing Center. https://www.ccri.edu/writingcenter/ If you have a friend or family member who is a good writer, you might consider asking them to read and provide you with feedback on your answers.
