CCRI Foundation Scholarship

Each year, the CCRI Foundation awards scholarships to students to help pay for their education. These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of our many donors who believe in giving back.  The applications for Spring 2014 scholarships are now available online.  For a complete listing of the scholarships available for this Spring, and information on how to apply, please visit:

Nursing Scholarships available

Three funds administered by the Rhode Island Foundation (Albert E. and Florence W. Newton Nursing Scholarship, Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship, and the Willard and Marjorie Scheibe Nursing Scholarship) provide support for nursing students at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Deadline for application submission is April 18, 2014. Students should carefully review the criteria for all three nursing scholarships (Albert and Florence Newton, Routhier, and Scheibe) and apply for only one of the three nursing scholarships using the generic application form. Students may either use the link below to access the application: or log onto the Rhode Island Foundation website and follow links to Scholarships / Scholarship and Fellowship Opportunities / Scholarships for College Level Study (for the Albert and Florence W. Newton Nursing Scholarship or Routhier Scholarship) or Scholarships for Graduate Level Study (for the Scheibe Nursing Scholarship). There are many other scholarships available on our website.

Professor Donovan will be remembered for his passion for his field - often illustrating key points with amusing stories to help students remember them - and as a challenging but fair professor who cared deeply about his students. He has influenced the lives of the thousands of CCRI students and alumni as he helped them along the path to achieve their dreams.
