Jason G. Fontana

Bio

Originally from Detroit, Michigan and now a proud Rhode Islander, I have spent my career supporting students from around the world. Since 2007, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of diverse learners across a variety of educational settings. I spent 15 years living, working, and studying in Miami, earning degrees from Miami Dade College, Florida International University, and the University of Miami, where I completed a second master’s degree and achieved Ph.D. candidacy in History.

As a first-generation adult learner, I have experienced the full range of challenges and opportunities that higher education can offer. That journey shaped my belief that every student deserves clear guidance, steady support, and a path that feels achievable. I am committed to helping learners navigate college policies and procedures with confidence, empowering them to make informed decisions and stay focused on their goals. My work centers on student success, from orientation to graduation and into the next chapters of their lives.
