Digital Accessibility at CCRI
On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) issued a new rule on digital accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This rule requires CCRI’s web content and academic course materials to meet accessibility standards beginning April 24, 2026.
Why Digital Accessibility is Important
Digital accessibility means ensuring that websites, applications, and other digital content are designed, developed, and written so they are usable by all people, including those with disabilities. Making digital content accessible is essential to removing barriers, benefits everyone by improving usability and clarity, and supports CCRI’s values by creating an environment where everyone can fully participate and thrive.
