The purpose of this policy is to ensure that people with disabilities may participate fully in the college’s services, programs, and activities by certifying that CCRI’s digital content and applications are accessible.

CCRI Policy

Official set of standards we follow to make our website usable for everyone, including people with visual, hearing, mobility, speech, and cognitive disabilities. The guidelines provide detailed technical standards behind our accessibility efforts.

Department of Justice resource that explains the federal rule requiring state and local governments to make their websites and apps accessible to people with disabilities. It outlines who needs to comply, important deadlines, and real-world examples.

ADA Fact Sheet

Department of Justice legal foundations behind the ADA, the regulations that explain how state/local governments and businesses must comply. It links to plain-language guides that provide a straightforward overview of your rights or obligations under the ADA.

ADA Law

The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) is committed to ensuring that all digital products developed at, purchased by, or used at the College are accessible to all faculty, students, and staff, including those with disabilities. To meet this goal, anyone making procurement or licensing decisions on behalf of CCRI shares responsibility for considering accessibility during the procurement process.
