back to college? Pay it forward with a gift that keeps on giving – an education!
Share your Pay It Forward opportunity that you received at Commencement with a friend or family member who has not yet
earned a degree. They will be able to start or restart at CCRI with their first class
on us!

Eligibility
Pay It Forward recipients must:
- Be a Rhode Island resident.
- Not have earned an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Not currently be enrolled at CCRI or any other college.
Awards
100 Pay It Forward scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

How to Apply
To benefit from your Pay It Forward opportunity, be one of the first 100 students
to complete the following enrollment steps by August 15, 2025.
1. ADMISSION APPLICATION: Submit your application to CCRI for the Fall 2025 semester.

who paid it forward and gave you a free class!

Additional Information
- Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 CCRI graduates will receive a Pay It Forward opportunity
for one free Fall 2025 class at CCRI to give to someone they know without a degree.
- This is a “last-dollar” scholarship. It covers any tuition gaps not covered by other
federal, state and/or private grants and is awarded after all other financial aid
resources have been exhausted.
- Students not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) will be required to submit a financial aid appeal.
- Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first come first served basis to the people
that register and complete all FAFSA requirements by August 15, 2025.
- Students may register for more than one class, but the program will only cover the
tuition and fees for one class. Books and course materials are not covered.
