Taking CCRI Dual Enroll classes while still in high school

A current high school student is someone still in high school who wants to attend CCRI to get a start on their college education by taking college classes at CCRI in one of our Dual Enrollment Programs.

Dual Enrollment Programs at CCRI

High School Enrichment 

The High School Enrichment Program offers high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take college courses while in high school. It is a part-time program for students to enroll in up to two courses (8 credits total) per semester.

Running Start

Running Start is a full-time dual enrollment program for high school seniors who have demonstrated the academic achievement and maturity necessary to enroll in college courses during their senior year of high school. In addition, students have an opportunity to explore an academic and career pathway while earning transferable college credits.

Accelerate for High School Seniors

Accelerate is a full-time, dual enrollment program, offered at the Community College of Rhode Island's Providence campus, that provides PPSD high school seniors with an opportunity to explore an academic and career pathway and earn transferable college credits.
