CCRI Players Returns With ‘SpongeBob Musical’ Adaptation For Spring Season

WARWICK, R.I. – The Community College of Rhode Island’s Bobby Hackett Theater soon will transform into Bikini Bottom.

The CCRI Players returns next week with its adaptation of The SpongeBob Musical, written by Tony Award-nominated American playwright Kyle Jarrow. Four performances will run from Thursday, March 5, through Sunday, March 8. The full schedule is as follows:

  • March 5 – 7:30 p.m.
  • March 6 – 7:30 p.m.
  • March 7 –7:30 p.m.
  • March 8 – 2 p.m.

The play will be held at the Bobby Hackett Theater on CCRI’s Knight Campus in Warwick, R.I. Tickets are available online and priced at $5 for CCRI students; $10 for seniors, college students and CCRI employees; and $20 for general admission.

“The SpongeBob Musical is essentially a live “SpongeBob SquarePants” episode,” said CCRI Theater Program Coordinator Ted Clement, who’ll direct the play. “The audience can expect an incredibly silly evening of entertainment."
