Whether it’s creating a rack card or handout for a new academic program, posting about an event on social media, utilizing the digital signage on all four campuses, or developing an advertising campaign for college enrollment, the Marketing & Communications staff is your support team when it comes to developing beautiful, cohesive collateral and promotional materials that maintain CCRI’s brand.
We also handle the college’s media relations and provide event photography and videography ad hoc. We’re the experts when it comes to targeted messaging and figuring out the best way to reach your desired audience.

Brendan Murphy, former Smithfield, RI, resident and one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the Community College of Rhode Island’s men’s basketball program, was honored recently as the college’s Athletic Alumni Award recipient at the state’s 2024–25 Scholar-Athlete Awards ceremony hosted by House Speaker K. The Legislative Awards are designed to provide public recognition for student-athletes from CCRI, Rhode Island College, and the University of Rhode Island for significant achievements in their academic and athletic pursuits. The honorees have also demonstrated exemplary citizenship and community service.

On February 24, 2025, the International Astronomical Union Working Group for Small Body Nomenclature (WGSBN) recognized CCRI alumni Francine Jackson’s contributions to astronomy education and outreach by naming an asteroid in her honor.The designation was announced in WGSBN Bulletin 5, No. 3, under new names of Minor Planets.

How Theater Alum Max Hayden Earned CCRI's Fifth Gamm Fellowship
