Arrival and Event Information

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Inauguration of President Rosemary A. Costigan, Ph.D., RN ’78, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at CCRI’s Knight Campus in Warwick.

This special day will celebrate President Costigan’s historic appointment as the first alumna to lead our college, and we’re excited to have you join us!

 

Event Details

  • Location: Knight Campus – Community College of Rhode Island, 400 East Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886
  • Ceremony: Vincent A. Cullen Field House
  • Reception: Great Hall (immediately following the ceremony)
  • Ceremony Start Time: 2:00 p.m.
  • Reception: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

 

Parking & Arrival

We encourage guests to arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in.

  • General Parking: Available in designated visitor lots. Signs, trolley, and ushers will guide you.
  • Accessible Parking: Reserved spaces are located near the Field House for those with accessibility needs. Please display appropriate credentials and follow appropriate signage.
  • VIP & Invited Guests: Reserved parking available in designated lots. Please follow appropriate signage.
  • Faculty & Processional Participants: Please park in designated faculty/staff lot.

Shuttles and volunteers will be available to assist guests from parking areas to the main entrance.

 

Check-In

When you arrive, please enter through the main entrance of the Field House. Our team will be happy to assist you and provide directions to the ceremony and reception areas.

 

Processional Participants

If you’re part of the academic procession, light lunch will begin at 12:00 p.m.. Please plan to arrive no later than 12:30 p.m.

  • Robing Rooms:
    • Platform Party, VIPs, and Dignitaries – 4th Floor
    • Faculty and Staff – 6th Floor
  • Line-Up: Begins promptly at 1:30 p.m.
  • Ceremony: Starts at 2:00 p.m.

 

Reception

After the ceremony, please join us in the Great Hall for a celebratory reception with light refreshments, music, and camaraderie as we honor this historic moment for CCRI.

Attire

Business attire or academic regalia is appropriate for this event.
