Year of Learning
What does it mean to live CCRI's Guiding Principles?

Year of Learning: Living Our Guiding Principles
For the 2026β27 academic year, CCRI invites faculty and staff to participate in the Year of Learning: a college-wide professional development experience designed to help us explore how our Guiding Principles shape the way we lead, collaborate, innovate, and support student success.
Student success isn't owned by one department, one initiative, or one person. It is built through the everyday actions, decisions, and relationships of every employee across the college. Throughout the year, we'll learn from one another, gain new perspectives from higher education leaders, and discover practical ways to bring our Guiding Principles to life in our daily work.
Whether you work directly with students or behind the scenes, you play an essential role in creating the culture and experiences that help our students thrive.
Why participate?
- Learn from colleagues across the college through authentic stories and shared experiences.
- Gain practical strategies you can immediately apply in your role.
- Connect with current ideas and best practices from higher education leaders.
Knight Points
The Center for Teaching Excellence developed Knight Points. This year, staff will have the opportunity to earn points, too! By participating in CCRI's Year of Learning events, you will receive Knight Points. When you earn enough points, you'll receive either a Green or Gold Knight certificate. After each session, a QR code will be shared so you can verify you attended the session and receive your points. More opportunities for points will be developed so make sure to read your email and Knight Knowledge.
