Under the auspices of the President, the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX provides
leadership and guidance to the CCRI campus community on issues of equity to foster
inclusive and equitable learning and workspaces and ensures compliance with federal
civil rights laws.
Through educational and prevention initiatives, consultation, and facilitation of
our College’s Title IX and Nondiscrimination policies, this Office:
- Serves students, faculty and staff as the primary resource for reporting incidents
of unlawful harassment, discrimination, or sexual misconduct.
- Develops and disseminates policies and procedures related to equity, inclusion, accommodations,
discrimination, and harassment.
- Provides training to faculty, staff and students to ensure the entire CCRI community
are aware of their rights and obligations under federal civil rights laws.
- Supports efforts to strengthen an equitable college culture.
- Guides recruitment and hiring practices to support an equitable and performance-based
hiring process.
