Renal Dialysis Technology Certificate

A hemodialysis technician, also known as a renal dialysis technician, provides direct patient care and assists with the operation and maintenance of hemodialysis equipment. They work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, helping individuals with end-stage renal disease (kidney failure) to undergo hemodialysis treatment.

Many dialysis centers across the U.S. employ hemodialysis technicians to provide the majority of direct patient care. With the increasing number of people with chronic kidney disease and renal failure, the demand for hemodialysis technicians is expected to rise faster than average.
