The AI and Assessment Task Group will evaluate the research on the use of AI in academic
assessment. This research will inform a future Task Group to develop one or more pilot
projects that apply and assess best practices and ultimately, develop policy. Initial
research topics may include:
- automated scoring
- automated feedback
- personalized assessment (e.g., ALEKS software)
- formative assessment and feedback
- program assessment and curriculum mapping
- streamlining data analysis
- AI-assisted rubric scoring
- equity/bias in assessment
