Associate Degree Nursing Program
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) prepares the graduate for entry into professional nursing practice. As a registered nurse generalist the ADN graduate leads, manages, and provides direct care to individuals, families, and groups across various healthcare environments.
How to Get Started
When can I apply?
First Apply to CCRI with a General Studies Major and a Concentration in (Pre Nursing).
Once you have completed all required prerequisites and specialized testing, submit your Performance-Based Health Science Application during the open application period for Associate Degree Nursing. NOTE: Cannot be currently in progress of a prerequisite and still be eligible to apply.
- Apply – February & March for Fall Acceptance
- Apply – August & September for Spring Acceptance

How to track your prerequisite completion and readiness to apply
How long is the program?
- This is a 2-year program Associate Degree (from official acceptance)
- Successful completion of the program allows you to take the state registered nursing exam. (RN License).
- NOTE: Timeline does not include time taken to complete prerequisites.
What does my schedule look like?
- Typical Day Schedule is two half days a week lecture & two full 8 hours clinical rotation M to F.
- Typical Evening/Weekend Schedule is two to three nights per week lecture M-F (starting after 4 pm) Clinical rotations on the weekends.
