Women's History Month
Each March, the Community College of Rhode Island proudly joins the nation in honoring Women’s History Month — a time to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and leadership of women who have shaped our communities, advanced justice, and expanded opportunity for all.

Throughout history, women have been trailblazers, innovators, activists, and leaders in every field imaginable. Many of their stories have often been overlooked, yet their perseverance has led to monumental change. This year’s theme, "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion," recognizes women who work tirelessly — often without recognition — to remove systemic barriers, champion equal opportunity, and create spaces where every person is valued and empowered. At CCRI, this mission aligns deeply with our commitment to access, equity, and student success. Throughout the month, CCRI will host programs across all campuses that uplift women’s stories and spark meaningful conversations about inclusion, leadership, and social change.
