Pride Month
June marks the celebration of Pride Month, a time when millions of people come together in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
As we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and honor their contributions and achievements, we must also recognize the battles still being fought for equality and justice. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that CCRI remains a safe, inclusive place where everyone feels that they belong – including and especially our trans and queer students, faculty, and staff. Let us use June, our nation’s designated Pride Month, to celebrate the progress we’ve made while remaining passionately committed to the work that remains.
