Equipment Loan Policies

Technology Reservations for Classroom Use

Reservations for equipment may be made by telephone at 455-6111 or by completing the on-line Equipment Request Form. Please check our Technology in the Classrooms webpage to view equipment available in each classroom. Directions and video demonstrations are available on the Guides & Tutorials webpage.

Please make equipment and services requests made 24 hours in advance. Due to the high volume of usage, requests are honored on a first come, first served basis.  Faculty are encouraged to make requests as soon as possible before the beginning of each semester.  Cancellation of equipment reservations are appreciated when your class is cancelled or when the equipment is no longer needed.

Students who would like to use technology for classroom presentations should speak with their instructor to place an online Equipment Request Form on the student's behalf.  Arrangements can be made for students to schedule a technology equipped room such as the Collaborative Technology Suites at each campus for individual or group project preparation.  Directions and demonstrations on available technologies is available. Contact 455-6111 to reserve time and space.

Technology Loans for Off-Campus Use

Portable equipment such as laptops, projectors, recorders, (basic) video cameras, audience response clickers, lecture capture microphones, and PowerPoint remote presenters are available for short term loans (loan periods range from 1 day to 2 weeks).

Borrowed equipment should be for academic use only.  Please reserve early as supplies are limited; 2-3 days advance notice is recommended prior to scheduled use. Contact IT staff at 455-6111 for reservations or more information.

Equipment must be picked up and returned by faculty or staff during regular-hours of operation.

Borrowers are required to complete a CCRI Equipment and Property Removal form when taking equipment off campus.  Borrowers are responsible for equipment loss or damage while in their possession.

Students are not permitted to borrow college equipment.
