Anesthesia Program

CCRI’s DHYG 2200 Local Anesthesia for the Registered Dental Hygienist provides a comprehensive study of local anesthetics used in the dental profession. This course blends on-line pre-study with 15 hours of lectures, and 3 days of lab instruction. A minimum of 30 hours will be required for the on-line Blackboard component which begins March 16, 2020 and must be completed by June 2, 2020. Upon successful completion of the entire course, you will be awarded two college credits, or the equivalent of 30 CEU’s.

  • Wednesday, June 3, Wednesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 17
    8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

To enroll in the course, you must do or obtain the following:

  1. Current CPR certification: American Heart Association
  2. BLS or Healthcare Provider Level
  3. Search course #HEAL 0200 at CCRI if desired
  4. A current RDH license.

* Note that all students must be able to both receive and administer local anesthesia.
