Mammography

Mammography is a specialized form of X-ray imaging used to detect and diagnose breast cancer at an early stage. While many patients undergo routine screening exams, others may require diagnostic evaluations, biopsies, or preoperative procedures.

What Is a Mammography Technologist?

Mammography technologists play a vital role on the healthcare team. They are responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic images that aid physicians in detecting breast cancer and other breast conditions at their earliest stages, all while ensuring patients receive compassionate and attentive care.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a post-primary certificate program.  Only ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered radiographers (X-Ray Technologists) are eligible to apply to this program.  If you are a graduate of an XRAY program, and are ARRT registered, you may apply now.  Please contact Maddie Josephs, Chair of Allied & Rehabilitative Health at [email protected].
