The Community College of Rhode Island uses a service that delivers text messages and email messages to members of the CCRI community during emergencies and when adverse weather conditions affect normal campus operations.
These text and email alerts are a vital part of college communications. All registered students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in the Rave Emergency Alert system. The emergency email will be sent to your CCRI email address and to the personal e-mail address provided in MyCCRI. If have a cellphone number in MyCCRI and it is identified as a mobile number, you will also receive a text message. Messaging and data rates may apply.
To verify, add, change or remove the mobile number for Rave text message alerts, please follow these steps.

Yes. You can follow these instructions to remove your cell phone number from MyCCRI. You can also stop delivery of all CCRI emergency text messages by texting the word ‘STOP’ to 67286 or 226787.
If you keep the same number but change providers, you do not need to update anything.
We recommend that you add the Rave Emergency Alert numbers, 67286 and 226787 to your contacts. The alert will then display as sent from the college.
