Four CCRI runners give great efforts at Codfish Bowl!

Warwick, R.I. – September 25, 2017: The CCRI cross country team traveled to Boston, MA to compete in the 2017 Codfish Bowl. It was hosted by USATF New England and held at Franklin Park. Four runners from CCRI ran the races with Allison Lenox (North Kingstown, RI) and Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield competing in the women’s 5k race and Ryan Pagliaro (Smithfield, RI) and Kelder Cardoso (Pawtucket, RI) competing in the men’s 8k race.

In the women’s 5k for the Lady Knights Allison Lenox placed 153rd in a time of 25 minutes 56 seconds. Saramarie Cerullo was not far behind Lenox finishing in 161st in a time of 26:22. In the men’s 8k race for the Knights Ryan Pagliaro placed 53rd in a time of 29:45. He was followed by Kelder Cardoso who placed 75th in a time of 31:22.

Head Coach Gregg Cornell commented after the races: “All four runners ran great efforts and are steadily improving”.

The next race for CCRI will be this Saturday September 30th when they host the Tri-State Invitational on the CCRI Cross Country courses on the CCRI Flanagan Campus in Lincoln.

The men’s race begins at 10:00am and the women’s at 11:00am.
