Submit news, events and announcementsTo improve communication across CCRI's campuses, the Department of Marketing and Communications assists students, faculty and staff with the promotion of news and events.

To share your news, select the submission form that matches the topic of your request.

If you would like to submit a news item and cannot access these forms, send an email to marketing@ccri.edu.

Submit news and announcements

Use this submission form to promote CCRI-related news and announcements on the college’s website, social media, Currents and other publicity outlets as appropriate.

Feature story and announcements guidelines

  • Features (including those on the CCRI home page) are reserved for items that document people, places and events that best reflect the priorities of CCRI.
  • To suggest a Feature and home page photo, please enter your request on the Submit News and Announcements form with at least two weeks' advance notice.
  • Announcements and news items about CCRI students, faculty and staff will be considered for posting as a Feature, on the News and Events site, MyCCRI message boards and/or the faculty and staff blog.
  • Priority is given to those items that are timely and of college wide or local interest.
  • Announcements and news items must be submitted using the Submit News and Announcements form.
  • Suggestions submitted via the Submit News and Announcements form are automatically considered for posting; there is no need to submit an item twice.
  • Based on your input, the Department of Marketing and Communications team will determine the appropriate outlets for distributing your news.

News guidelines

  • For urgent news items of college wide significance, call the Department of Marketing and Communications at 401-825-2028 during business hours or email Richard Coren, director of marketing, communications and publications.
  • For items of interest to external news media only, email Kristen Cyr, public relations officer.
 

Submit events

Use this submission form to promote official campus events on the college’s website, Currents, social media and other publicity outlets as appropriate. A minimum of two weeks' notice is requested. Submissions with minimal advance notice will be accommodated if possible.

Guidelines

  • Only events sponsored by a CCRI department or group are considered.
  • Priority is given to those events with broad appeal to the college community.
  • Featured event announcements typically are brief summaries that include a link to the event sponsor's website for more information. Submissions must include a link that indicates where readers can find the most complete information about the event and a photo. Depending on the size and scope of the event, the Department of Marketing and Communications may provide a webpage and photo for you.
  • Based on your input, the Department of Marketing and Communications team will determine the appropriate outlets for publicizing your event.
 

Need help with a project?

To begin your project, fill out the request form. Using this form will ensure that the right people are involved in assessing your needs. Once you have submitted your request, we will contact you, generally within two business days, to discuss your goals in greater detail. Please note at least 15 business days are required to complete most simple projects from the date we have agreed to undertake the project. Complex projects require more time.

 

Video production request

Marketing and Communications provides professional expertise and creative skills to support the development and production of videos, which can be produced on location in various formats depending on the needs of the project. Once you have submitted your request, we will contact you, generally within two business days, to discuss your project in greater detail.
